Saw him at my College during lunch, Just walking by and there he was. Never saw advance advertisement, for his show. Had to run to the next class and never introduced myself.
Good show.

In the clip it mentions Bigelow had been to the hospital 3 times for Doors of Death injuries. I went through my collection and came across a photo of one of those injuries.

I knew a guy in college who was in the audience when Norm took a blade through the hand.

I did some shows at one of the places where it didn't go right, and he had to spend a month in the hospital. The story was still fresh, years after the incident.

Randini I do not know what year that was, if I was to guess, maybe the late 70's but I really have no idea.
I have a few interesting pictures of Bigelow including some black and whites of an older verion of the Door's. Again not trusting my memory I think there were 3-4 versions over the years.

X-treem, I would be interested in seeing the other pics if you are able to post them. I also heard he had several versions of the "Doors of Death" and that he had retired the last and even dismantled it, never to be used again.

Hi Kondini, he is said to have taught Lisa Moore (lady of the lock) but I haven't heard anything about her for I guess ten years or more. I have a photo of her in a strait jacket but that all.

Great memory Ian, now that you mention it I remember Lisa emailing me a few pictures of her in it, which I've long since lost.
His daughter also had a deviation of the Doors, I believe it was called "The Hand of Fate."

Lisa "Lady of Locks" Moore is now MRS. Mike Close (professional close-up magaician)..,and her "escape days" are long over.
Bigelow has also taught the "Doors" to his daughter, Sara. |
