Hello all. (2nd post sites so good I really never needed to ask)
I was wondering I make a lot of my own illusions. and the other day I was going through my Tarbell set and saw a how to: on color changing silks.

I made one and it works great. Well it works great one way. it's Vol. III page 335 Tarbell course in magic. Is this a one way effect with a reset after the fact or did I construct it wrong. I really don't want to buy one as I have the complete Tarbell books. The only color changing ones I see are pretty much standard. IE: RED, GREEN, BLUE, YELLOW. everyone has seen them. ( feel they suck) but they do reset instantly right in front of a audience.

the one I constructed is a 24 inch silk with a awesome blue green pattern that changes to a red brown silver star pattern.
Like I said, works mighty fine one way. but flashes bad on the second "reset"
is this normal?
thanks
Rich

Seems these are one way as I found another how to in another volume.
Thank you all! You've been a wonderful audience!
You know the world is going crazy when you have to start putting bullets in the clowns.

If it's a mime, do you have to use a Silencer?

Rich,

There are lots of options in methods used.

The mechanical (ring method) you mentioned is available in plenty of different color combinations in the 18" size.

It takes quite an arm span to use two 24" silks for this.

Mine turned out to be really junky and difficult to work with, but oh well. It's a neat idea.
