Well.. I recently bought a few illusions,... one of them is a Head Chopper. I am really happy with it.. I've never owned one before,.. so any advice or hints would be much appreciated. safety tips?,... what to do to keep it in good shape?... any tips on how to make it a good comedy piece?.. any funny ideas for lines?
Thank you.. |

Bud,
Comedy is probably the best way to play this effect, unless you are going for a Goth character. You need to work up your own routine, but the classic bit of business is to ask about insurance, next of kin, etc... Tell the victim/volunteer you will are going to pull the chain/activate the blade/ etc. at the **** of three. Start the count: "One... Two... Th- By the way, do you have a will." Jokes ensue... do the count and joke once again, then on the third count, drop the blade. You need to comment on the bravery of your survivor... joke about not losing your head even in a tight spot. Hope it helps. Dave
Yes, I am a magician. No I did not make my hare (hair) disappear... it just took early retirement.

I agree with David on the comedy routine.
I like to use jokes such as asking the helper if they are Married or Single ? , actually it really doesn't matter because in a moment they'll be seperated. Also the other standard joke, " Trust me on this one, this trick really is a cut aboce the rest " Bob. |
