Here is another quick video I did on the Triumph shuffle. In it I cull and stack four aces from a slug - after the Ed Marlo Simple Shift.
Before hearing the often flack that often happens when I post a video I would like to add - that if I were to use this technique in a game of cards - I wouldn't do it after the simple shift. And I would not use it to cull and stack four aces. However I might find this info useful because the same technique can be used to cull and stack two or three good cards from the discards - or from the previous deal. I like the technique and as I said before it has several advantages over all the culling and stacking methods that I have come across in magic - so far… http://www.mrhypnotist.org/video/Glennbi......tack.wmv Just my opinion and enjoy

Hi Xaethia
Thanks for posting. If I were a cheat - I am not - But if I were I would most likely use this technique to stack and cull only two or three of a kind - on the fly or from the discards - or the previous deal. Culling and stacking only two or three cards would be "less" shuffling. However as Tommy and others have noted in another thread that there are games where if the "advantage player" can only control one card - that would be an advantage over the other players. And I agree - I find this stuff very cool. As I said in another thread I am not trying to sell this technique. I only have posted video on the triumph shuffle - to show "what is possible". Like in this video where I cull and stack three hands of four of a kind from a slug - using the triumph shuffle. I call it my “Triple Duke Triumph”. http://www.mrhypnotist.org/video/GlennBi......umph.wmv Also please note that I think that the riffle shuffle work in the video that uses Marlo’s simple shift looks cleaner - using bee cards. I think that bee cards make a lot of shuffle work look better - like bee cards make a second deal look cleaner. Just my opinion and enjoy!

Wasn't dissing you or anything. (haha dissing. What a bogan word.)
I understand. You just do four of a kind as a demonstration to show that you can do four. Cool Triple Duke Triumph

Sorry , that was a very poor technique , one of the worst I've ever seen.
Please practice more before posting a video because you are actually exposing some professional techniques. Sincerely, FILL |

This would never work in a real game and I think your audience would know it. For all the time you put into this, why not learn to riffle stack for real? I mean, 4 aces on top...4 riffle shuffles, your done. It is obvious that you put a lot of practice into this, but it just doesn't work. Take that same dedication and learn the "real deal" and it will.

Kinda have to agree with FILL..
you can really see you holding the breaks and just pushing the cards through.. practice more.. and like griff said just 4 shuffles will do the trick and maybe 1 or 2 false shuffles in between |

I guess the reason he is posting is for advice right?
You didn't see me say I am better whatsoever. We are just giving advice and letting him know what should be changed. Its up to him what he will do with our advice. So no need for me to post anything to prove I am better please let me know if I am incorrect |

No Tmmy
I posted them because "I Can". And with this shuffle technique "I can" do the goals that I wanted to acomplish.

It is very good to know you can accomplish the goals you want to accomplish with this move.
Ans why would you post it? just to brag or to show off? Kinda ignorant if you ask me. Usually people want some advice on what they could to better. Instead of bashing us you could use this advice to make the move look better but hey that's just me. I guess you can do whatever you want. Fill, Grif and me are just trying to be nice and give you some advice Gl though |

Hey guys here is a video I put up a while back on Youtube. Not my best but it will give you an example. This is a straight forward riffle stack with 4 aces. Sorry about the music, my son picked it out:)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx_7ECowyJ0 I was simply giving my opinion on the original video. Actually, there is some nice thinking in it, but I just didn't think the actual stacking procedure was convincing. |

Very nicely done Griff - However there are many differences in my goals than what you are doing. What you did was produce the aces - cut to them. Then you placed them on the top of the deck and stacked them.
What I did was put the aces into the deck and controlled them using the Marlo simple shift - by doing so the aces are now a slug and the aces are "not" on the top or the bottom of the deck. Then I use the triumph two shuffle to cull and (place) stack each ace in turn - from the slug that is not on the top or the bottom. I used the Marlo simple shift because that was the fastest way I could use on video to get them into a slug - with the exception of just placing the aces together into the deck. There are many ways to stack a deck using the riffle shuffle. The reason I like the Vernon two shuffle triumph shuffle is that "I Can" use it to cull and stack at the same time. Using the same technique I can cull and stack on the fly from a shuffled deck. Something that can't be done or something that is very hard to do using other riffle shuffle techniques. And if I may add I hope that no one brings up that little point about the lots of shuffling and cutting in your video as they seem to like to do in my video’s. Just my opinion.

DOC posted a video a while ago on the Stevens cull. He showed a cull and stack using this control (he called it the DOC/Stevens control). Ya'll should have taken a look at that, smooth as hell!

Here was the "challenge".
To take the four aces - put them into different spots in the deck. Shuffle the deck - then by using a riffle shuffle cull and stack three aces "on the fly from the shuffled deck" - cull and stack three aces for a five hand game of draw poker. The aces and the deck are not marked or tricked up in any way. To do this I use the two shuffle Vernon Triumph shuffle that was published in the stars of magic. The first demo is culling and stacking three aces on the fly from a shuffled deck. Then the second demo - I go after "all four aces" on the fly from a shuffled deck. http://www.mrhypnotist.org/video/Glennbi......umph.wmv Enjoy!
