Didn't know that FUN carried the Magic Worms, and the price looks good.
But I've never seen the packaging or the instructions, both of which are just as important. If the packaging isn't attractive, it will dampen sales. A lot of the worms come in blister packs, which makes a good display. And if the instructions aren't clear, the kids will come back for lessons, which you certainly don't have time to give while you're pitching. The only worms I can't recommend are the Indian knockoffs from FunTime. They look like carpet scraps and don't handle properly. I had to send the entire gross back, I couldn't demo them and I refused to sell them. SETH

The wiggly worm comes in a clear poly bag with color card top according to what I was told today from the fun inc company. it is also a great place to buy Svengali decks. I am having trouble finding cheap two card montes so I will probably pitch without them. my 2 cents

Out of svenagali....worms....or wonder mouse....which brings in the most $$$?

I have never pitched the mouse, but it seems to me that the worm would do much better than the mouse because it is more colorful and more versatile; you can do more tricks with it.
As between the cards and the worm, I don't think you can generalize, it would depend on the worker and the crowd. Younger kids tend to go for the worm, older kids want the deck. Grandparents want the worm for their grandkids; adults like both. In my experience, the worm AND the deck makes a dynamite combination. I find that the worm pulls in big tips quickly with very little effort because it is so visual. The worm sells well on its own, and is a good intro to the Svengali Pitch. I'm sure Don would add that a good pitchman should be able to sell anything. SETH

I would suggest getting don's Svengali pitch dvd. he shows the deck pitch plus the worm pitch. I think pitching them both is the way to go. my 2 cents

Fun Inc is a good company to buy from I have bought their products since I started in magic and many of their items are featured on my site.
I used to sell D lites and magicians levitation system after my shows. To purchase from both of thses companies you have to be a dealer and show proof. Good Luck Magicaly Yours Bill Davis

I checked with fun on the 2 card monte and I belive it was like $.61 a set which would be about $90.00 for give aways. I am thinking about giving away the floatig dollar trick as the bonus trick. one spool of certain thread and a pack of coins envenlopes and instructions and you would be ready to go for about $.11 a giveaway. my 2 cents

Hackler -- FUN sells pre-made TCM sets, but most people just buy decks of double-faced and double-backed cards and make up your own sets, which would be much cheaper, probably around 15 or 20 cents each, maybe even less.
I agree the Floating Bill would be a cheap giveaway, but I think you would have a heck of time demoing it over and over, especially between Svengali Pitches. SETH

Glad we could help. I'm pretty sure Don Driver goes into this on his Svengali Pitch DVD. He also provides a template for making up the outer sleeves for the card sets; you can just take it to Staples and have the copies made.
So if you have the DVD, you should have all the info and materials needed to do this. It only takes an hour or so to make up a few dozen sets, and most of the time is needed to cut, fold and staple or tape the sleeves. SETH

I just got let down on the double backed cards. I have the 5 decks of df's but NO db's.
So, last night, I looked out a carrier bag of old cards I've had for years and years...and made up a couple of hundred double backers...desperate situations call for desperate measures.. Do I think anyone's going to complain that these double backers in their 2CM are "just 2 cards stuck together!"? Do I care if they do? Nopes! It's a "free" giveaway anyway... I've had a real job trying to get it all together for this, my first pitching weekend. Some of it good, some of it ..very nailbiting.. Tell you all how it goes.. on Tuesday! Regards, DCB
