Why my first one got only 2 stars I don't know it's F****** UP! It use to be one of my BEST Openers, so hopefully you'll like this better and I'll get better rating, Ed, (Eddini), C.H.

IMO, I would say that although you know "how to do" the effect, the performance and presentation is lacking.

I think your version confirms for the spectator that there are two 10's, one of each color back. My only advice would be to take the 10 from your hat, rub it on the face of the red card ( the ace of diamonds) and flip it over to show that you have changed the face of the red card.

No offense, but you're a little cozy with he deck - your double lift set ups take a while and involve a lot of hiding the deck with your mitts. Why would you outjog the selection, then pull it back in, then cut it to the top, then square it, then turn it over? If you just drop the half of the deck above the red card, and do a double lift, it's more natural, and your break is automatically held for the force card.
Check the original routine in Leech's "Super Card Man Stuff" I also point you to Whit Hadyn's treatise on the effect "The Chicago Opener" It's not the version I do, but, man, did that guy think it through. |
