“Consultant to A&E’s Criss Angel’s MindFreak”
“The more you pay attention to what he’s doing, the more you can’t help but think that you are watching something extraordinary in the making.” Synthesis Magazine wrote that about Wayne Houchin. Consultant for Criss Angel’s “Mindfreak,” one of the founders of Theory 11 and inventor of some of the best-selling, new, modern/street magic tricks including: “SinFul (Coin In Soda),” “Stigmata,” “Indecent,” “Distortion,” “Control,” “UltraGaffs” and just recently “Thread,” Wayne Houchin a real magician’s magician!

Young, ambitious and charismatic, Houchin has never stopped pushing himself. At age 16, he made national headlines for escaping from a regulation straightjacket while hanging upside-down 50 feet in the air over a blocked off intersection packed with thousands of people. A few years and a handful of critically acclaimed theatre shows later, he found himself on the front page again, this time for accurately predicting the exact outcome of the Patriots upset over the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. Next it was being blindfolded with duct tape and driving safely down Highway 99 at 65mph. And in between all the publicity, Houchin spent his time developing his own effects and perfecting them in front of audiences across the country.

No doubt about it, Wayne Houchin has made a large handprint within the magic community. His unique combination of creativity, presentation, and production has made him one of the most talked about visionaries among magicians worldwide. His magic is new, fresh and original! He is one of the new thinkers and movers in magic. In fact, he is not only a featured performer, but also a key teacher on Paul Harris’ New 9 DVD set: “True Astonishments.” Wayne’s “Control Lecture” will teach a selection of his favorite pieces of powerful magic, including new and unpublished material only available for those in attendance. He will also talk about character development, goal setting and the art of success in magic as well as “Why Magicians Fail?”

“Incredible…Crazy!” – David Blaine

“Brilliant!” – Crises Angel

“Wayne Houchin is the next big thing!” – Banachek
