Love the Café. One pet peeve: I can't subscribe to topics that I didn't start. This means that if I get into a discussion on a board, I have to keep going back to see if anyone commented. Eventually, you forget to check and could have some valuable information (or a vicious flame) waiting for you and have no way of knowing.

Besides my desire to do this, it would certainly increase your traffic even more if you turned this feature back on!

Avi, this feature was never available on the Café so there is nothing to turn back on. Subscriptions to specific forums is not available however, as has been pointed out many times, the purpose of the red/white coffee cups next to each posts is to do what you are requesting.

Any forum with a red mug next to it when you log on has a new post. When you open the forum, any topic with a red mug has new post since you last logged in.

If you are only interested in a few forums, then this search is quite simple. If you are looking for topics that you have been in the discussion with the last 30 days, just click your name in the upper right corner of the page and you will see all of the topics you have been involved in within the last 30 days. If you want to go farther back, use the search engine and enter you user ID. That will give you all of your posts.

Another easy solution is to create a folder in your web browser (for example, call it "favorite Magic Café threads"), and add the url for that thread as a "favorite" website link. Add as many threads to the folder as you wish. Then, check your favorite threads now and then by going through the list which you created in your "favorites".

Yes, I'm well aware of these "tricks" but there's still no replacement for being able to get an email when someone responds to a forgotten thread. Even the threads that aren't forgotten, I don't have the time to check all of them every day. This would be helpful to me (and other users as well, I'm sure) and would definitely increase your traffic.

I know it's never been offered on the Café, but I mentioned putting it "back" because this feature is standard in every BB software and I figured there was a checkbox in your settings that would make it simple to offer here.

If you haven't learned already, the Café software is far from "standard." It might have been based on existing software at the time, but it's evolved independently since then into what we have today.
