There's a lot of talk on the forum about "Your Top Five" or "Favourite Mentalism Books"... for me it's often an exercise in directing folks to the same old books.
But work is taking me from beautiful Vancouver to Cowboy town Calgary, land of the vanishing rabbit, for the next eight to nine months and I'm forced to choose. What five books am I going to take with me? I can't take more than that... there's just no room... My criteria: stuff I'm actually going to work on... I've read each of my candidates (but one) several times already but there are particular effects/techniques I plan on working at over the next few months... So here we go... 1. Bob Cassidy, The Artful Mentalism of... 2. Hector Chadwich, The Mental Mysteries of... 3. Corinda's 13 Steps... 4. a dark horse... Anthony Jocquin's Reality is Plastic. 5. and the only one I haven't read yet: Erik Jan Hanussen's Mind Reading and Telepathy. Again, very specific for me. I'm sure each of us would have his own list.
