Hi all,
I am looking for a really good drawing duplication device, maybe as well as a Q&A. I heard that The Brown Hornet is excellent, and John riggs New dvd Epiphanies actually has some uses for it as well as a Q&A for it. Psi Graphico I heard is good as well, but I wanted the opinion of fellow mentalists Impressionable mind Board....I know it uses a magnetic marker, and no Q&A method. I am opting to go for the Brown Hornet and Epiphanies from Riggs since it has applications on the DVD to use drawing dupes and Q&A, but I wanted some input from you all. thanks Alex

If you're looking for an all-in-one Drawing duplication & Q&A prop, I would recommend Banachek's from his PSI Series DVDs, volume 2:
http://www.llpub.com/zenshop/index.php?m......_id=2058 You can make the prop yourself for only a few bucks. Psi-Grafico isn't the best solution for a drawing duplication, although it's a great intro into Q&A. |

Whats your primary performance context? Cloe up, strolling or stage? Riggs is THE guy to go to with your imp*****on needs, The brown hornet is perfect for stage, he also has a great "PS" board, if however you work a lot of close up you need my friend, one of his incredible Skeeters. They are absolutely amazing, and my only Imp product for close up. Hope that helps

I second Looch's comments and add that IMO Riggs' "butterfly" is even better than "skeeter" for close-up work only because it is a more ordinary and familiar object.

Dick is correct, The Butterfly is indeed an incredible bit of kit. I should clarify I often use post-its hence the skeeter!

Looch,
Yeah I do a lot of close up as well as every once in a while stage shows. I think I am going to get The Butterfly for close up work, the brown hornet for stage, and his new DVD Epiphanies which uses these two devices in real time. Thanks for the advice alex

There is a very good Q & A routine in 'Mind Blowing' by James Biss
I also use his IMB as it is totally invisible to the audience. The p**k is real time and ever so easy. |

For close up I ALWAYS use the Baby Hornet.

You can not go wrong with the Brown Hornet or Butterfly. Both work 100% of the time.

I use the IMB by James Biss and have never bothered to use something else. Ofcourse I can vouch for Riggs stuff also because he is one of the few on the Café wh never got a negative review on anything he puts out..that says something

Mascot moth, butterfly and baby hornet for me, depending on where I'm using it. I like to blend the objects into the context that I'm performing in...
until recently, I'd draw a lot of stuff in my work - so the mascot moth became a big fave of mine...just the right size for both getting "what's needed", and getting a few bits of info off the one sheet...but I suppose that's all in proportion... skeeter is great too...in fact, its probably easier to mention what isn't good from mr. riggs..and I genuinely can't say anything I've bought from him has been anything else other than excellent...even emailing him is a pleasure - very helpful and straightforward...

Is the baby hornet the same workings as the hornet? in which case its not really ideal for close up? or is it?
BTW I do own the hornet... |
