I'd have to say Juan Tamariz and Eugene Burger. I've seen both lecture, and would love to see them both lecture again. Oh, and Tommy Wonder, sadly never got to see him.

Oh yeah...that's what I meant to say. Kozmo. And I will see him lecture a week from today. As philosopher David Lee Roth once said "This must be just like living in paradise."

Seriously, I'm looking forward to it.

I've often wondered what one needs to be a good lecturer. I've seen amazing ones and terrible ones. Hmmm, I could talk for days about Magic Fridaying...

Would love to see Ricky Jay.

Thanks to all y'all!

I see some great suggestions.. now I'm going to modify my origional request. They must be living..

Simply put, my local ring is looking for a big name, to bring in. Even if they aren't currently on a lecture tour.

So.. I see some great suggestions.. keep 'em coming..

So far coming soon...

Pop Hayden, Eugene Burger, John Carney.

Since money is no object (or at least, supposedly), how about David Copperfield? Personally, I'd love to hear how he went from working with a TT in his bedroom to having the biggest stage show in the world. Probably has tons of fascinating stories and business tips. Plus, he has the knack of being able to present both the simplest, least expensive illusions alongside the most complex, hugely expensive ones with equal panache.

Others that have been mentioned already that I'd put at the top of the "dream" wishlist are Lance Burton and Jim Steinmeyer.

More realistically, though, Giacomo Bertini puts on a great coin lecture, if you can convince him to leave Italy. He just completed a U.S. tour that I missed; Denny Haney reassured me that I completely blew it by not showing up. Said it was one of the best lectures he's ever hosted.

I mentioned Chad Long and Eric Jones earlier - they stand out for their technical ability, their engaging performance style and their proven ability to teach. Couldn't go wrong with either of them.

And then there's David Stone; Penn and Teller; Kent Gunn; Steven Youell; Shoot Ogawa (you'll need a translator); Darwin Ortiz; Bill Malone; the Pendragons; R. Paul Wilson; Aaron Fisher; John Carney; Scott Guinn; "Michaels" Vincent, Close, Ammar and Rubinstein... the list goes on and on (if you can get any of them)!
