Hello, Just wanted to pass along info. regarding a new Radio Control Electronic Candle on the market. I recently purchased one and it is fantastic, works like a charm - distance is great and does away with lighter fluid method. Actual flame emits from candle, really cool and the best part is the price is very good at a low $160.00! This is much more reasonable than others offered. This effect gets my highest recommendations, I starting using this in my act immediately. The person who makes these is Todd Cox, he is located in North Carolina and can be reached at: tcox634@hotmail.com

Hello there, The fuel used is not lighter fluid and is far superior as it does not dissipate when exposed to air, I will not reveal exactly what is used as this should be only known to a buyer. This is safe to travel with and has a neat way of containing itself so no danger is involved. For a great effect at a fair price, it is a great prop. I prefer not to pay exorbitant amounts for something that is being offered fairly.

Thanks for that - I suppose it boils down to what you can travel safely with, a pro magician now has to travel a lot going through security, when you say safe to travel - be aware that Flashpaper is highly illegal to carry on flight or to post.
I woud love to know what the liquick is that is safe to travel - Imflamable liquids are not allowed on flight. The product sounds amazingly good On looking at both demos they look very much the same - One is $100 more but the flame appears without a flash, in my mind superior - is this because less flashpaper is used>? |

I just bought one of these gems! Excellent product for a very reasonable price! As far as traveling with flash paper or putting it through the mail, I've never had a problem with this. In fact I purchase my flash paper through mailorder and have never had to include "hazardous material" shipping fees (I order dozens of pads at a time). The liquid fuel is sealable for transport and readily available at local stores for replenishment. It is NOT lighter fluid, rather some type of oil.
The finish of this candle is superb! I've heard that other manufacturers coat their candles with real wax, but what if you drop the candle? Real wax is gonna chip or mar. This was a major factor for my purchase of this model. Due to the superior finish, these candles look like wax from inches away, but I believe they are PVC. And the finish is clear-coated to retain it's luster through the riggers of transport and use. The drips are REALLY realistic and I think the extra bit of "flash" for the ignition makes it more astonishing than the "trickling" ignition of other candles I have seen! I've tested the remote from as far away as fifteen feet, of course I'm sure this would degrade dependant on battery freshness, but FIFTEEN FEET is PLENTY of distance, unless you're planning on killing someone with the device. I don't believe the manfacturer condones this mis-use of his product in that manner (LOL!!!!!)!!!! |
