If you have a set of my plumber's sticks, here's a throw away opening line.
"You probably wonder what these are? I got them at a garage sale of the CIA... they "claim" these were NOT used for waterboarding." Bada boom.

I love this prop. I use it in my magic lecture on creativity with the line: "I don't know what this is, but I found it in the bargain department at IKEA." Then I go on and explain the dynamics of creativity using it.

Plumber's Sticks are my version of Histed's Sticks, called Pom Pom Poles by many. The tubing is Home Depot supplied PVC pipe and instead of Pom Poms I use extra large rubber sink stoppers, and the ends of the stick have faucets affixed.
It is a "MASCULINE/COMEDY" version of the Pom Pom trick (made popular by the late Ali Bongo). The are available exclusively from http://www.stevensmagic.com And reasonably priced. Maybe we should raise the price?
