There have been a number of deleted threads on the current gospel mAGIC forum, which could be avoided, I think, with a sub-forum for those christian (and non-christian) magicians to discuss topics that would tend to be met with disaproval on the good news forum.
What might be the possibilities in this regard? JW

I doubt it would help. The same people who disrupt the one forum will just follow you into the other one.

Actually, I am one of the people who disrupts the other forum, and I like the others (assuming you reger to Payne)and would welcoime the opportunity to chat with them in the absence of the fundies.

Won't work. Occasionally such a discussion gets started elsewhere like in Stand the Test of Not Very Magical and it generally devolves to such an extent that it ends up getting pulled.

There's just some things you can't discuss on the Café

If I ran my own Café I'd have a section called Enter at your own risk. All controversial post would be moved there and you'd have to have at least 500 to 1000 previous posts to enter it. This would keep people from just subscribing to flame others and possibly keep the discussions on a higher level.

I like that idea.

The problems only arise when people who have nothing to do with gospel magic enter the forum and challenge those that do.

The rules regarding the gospel forum are very specific, yet few have obviously taken the time to read them.

If you are not into gospel magic or have no such belief system as those who are - then you have no business participating in that forum - simple as that.
