I'll tell you this effect looks like it's worth the time to practice it. It looks so fluid. I'm hoping to see this performed live soon.

Good magic to all,

I just got his emailer and he is offering on his last 4 sets ... make an offer on a Cartel set. Seems like a marketing thing but it's pretty cool ... he wants to clear out the last 4 sets to make room for the next run. Oh well ... who knows what offers he is accepting?! Smile

eyeball someone other than me sometime in the near future! Smile

OK here is my review.

I got the set and tried it out. It is a really nice Gaff. The coins fit together really nicely and look normal. They go into Copper Silver mode very easily. You can do some really nice coins across stuff with them. The routine on his DVD is a good one and has allot of possibilities. I compared it to the Wong Split coin and found them to be easier to work with. The price seems a little high at first but based on the quality of the coins and the DVD that comes with it the price is reasonable.

I just got my set of Cartel Coins and boy do I love them. I've been playing with several ideas w/ the trabucco holdout, Arthur Traces holdout and some work by Rocco that are bringing about some very INTERESTING results. Thanks to Chastain for putting this awesome product on the market. The possibilities w/ Cartel Coins are endless.

And yet you have them for sale. Is there something about them that you feel is limiting? I like the idea of the coins, but wasn't impressed with any of the demos. Someone like Eric Jones could probably create miracles with these, but I'm a little creatively impaired in that regard. Is this a case of "nice gaff... but what do you do with it?"

The newest comes in Morgans and a rupee. Still no word on the Chinese coin. How are they holding up for the original buyers for wear and tear?

Hmmm... anyone have any recent comments to make about these coins? The lack of buzz is interesting.

Went ahead and bought these recently, at the same time as Craig Petty's Nightshade coin set, because I figured they were basically the same set and I wanted to explore as many options as possible with the idea. Turns out that was right. Cartel Coins, though, are much more convincing up close than Petty's set. And if you buy an extra something, you can do everything with Cartel Coins that Petty does with his set, which includes one extra gaff. Criswell's DVD is much, much shorter than Petty's (about 25 minutes total), but includes some great advice, and enough practical ideas for routining to get you up and running with the concept. Petty's DVD has many more ideas and applications. The best of all worlds would include both Criswell and Petty's DVD, the Cartel Coins gaffs, and the extra gaff necessary for some of the Nightshade effects. Incidentally, Criswell mentions the extra gaff as an option on his DVD, but doesn't explore the concept.
