Anyone who has ever accidentally spent a scotch and soda coin, and had it accepted by a cashier (which is EVERYONE who has ever accidentally spent a scotch and soda coin) can attest that yes, this coin is as examinable as it ever needs to be.
Now if your presentation and handling makes your coins seem like anything other than the change they should be, that - my friend - is a limitation of your ability, not a defect of the coin. Brad Henderson |

A secret extra coin is not the same as a gaff. With the extra coin, all the coins become potentially gaffs. Gaffed coins require positioning and special handlings.
There is no need to worry about accidentally spending, or in many cases even losing, extra coins. They can be easily replaced. They only cost face value. The prices of some gaffs are pretty high. Ordinary coins are not as delicate. The purist in me loves pure sleight of hand, no gimmicks except, at most, extra coins. That being said, I'm dying to find out what Super-Fly is all about and am panicking that I am not able to attend MAGIC Live! |

Chris showed this to Roth and I back in 2003. I can tell you that it predates ALL the similar gaffs that have been released since then, and is better than all of them.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

How about the last coin Michael? Without giving anything away, is it a new method/idea/look?

One would think that with a few months to release there would be more details available.
My big question is will it be something that is readily available or if it will be a limited release? |

Those will be filled before it is opened up to phone and internet sales. |

IF it sells out, I've heard it's nothing that special gaffwise. Depending the price, don't know if people will be willing to purchase the effect if the gaff itself has a trumped up price.

Whether the gaffs are "special" really depends on your definition of special. Having handled the coins, I have not seen anything similar in the past. I thought the coins handled brilliantly and made the necessary moves smooth, silent and almost effortless. As for price, it really is a personal preference and value will depend on how much you will use the routine and whether you think this version looks/works better than what you are currently doing.

I had a buddy call me from Magic Live. He said that Kenner did not reveal his mystical last coin vanish and the set costs as of now $600 USD.
