3 nice Box illusions.Which one do fellow magicians feel is the most deceptive.

Konundrum Kube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h03nkp2DQ-A

X Factor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG4Y_ty4qC8&feature=related

Cube Zag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpTseIhWrGs

I think the cube zag is most deceptive. In addition to the small base, moving the bottom cube clinches the illusion that no-one's there.

The X factor comes in second due to the deceptive base. Much nicer than the KK.

Wow that X-Factor is HUGE!!!!

I have worked with both Cube Zag and Konundrum Kube and both are very deceptive. The thing is each illusion has a different effect. It is what your end results are. Both are great effects. I would stay away from that elephant effect called X-Factor.

Well I wouldnt call it an elephant effect! Its not that big.The base is quite deceptive & the box opens up so you can see right through the back. The effect is different.I see it as a vanishing illusion whereas I see the others as penetration effects ie the assistant being able to avoid the blades/tubes/spike etc.

The Cube Zag is a great illusion.Has been popular for years & for good reason. The Konundrum Kube is in my opinion a stronger illusion then Jam & perhaps not seen as much as the Cube Zag.You are right in it being about the end result & what you are trying to portray in the illusion.

I agree with Stephane. The Tora Version is very nice. Most of their props look very good. The only thing is, where are they located and is it legal to deal with them?

Well here's one thing to think about: Which one has the smallest stage footprint? Which one can be performed 3' from the front row? [ as the KK has been ] Which one can be revolved 360 without spoiling the effect? And which one can be performed under any stage conditions?
Just my thoughts.

Smile It's like asking a room full of PC & Mac owners which is better.

Not necessarily! I think my questions are very valid and point to an answer although maybe not "the" answer.
