Never mind... That's what folks use so they don't have to acknowledge the possibility of the existence of God...

Question 2: you mean first elected FEMALE, don't you?

I thought the same thing Balducci...shame, if they can't ask the question right what value can one give to the answers? If it helps I know pretty much all of the answers including number 2 if you mean female. I don't know number five.

I'm not a citizen of the world by the way, no one is.

Yes, I did mean the first elected female president or prime minister. Sorry.

But how about the questions? How are we doing in our knowledge of the world outside our own borders?

It's amusing how many non-Americans are willing to take the "America" quiz. So far, Santa and Balducci the only ones who indicate that they've given the questions any consideration. And only Santa estimates his score.

Curious.

I guess my score was 7 out of 10. I was in the dark on two of the questions. The other, it was between 2 choices. But I should get a bonus mark for first identifying the mistake in Q2. Smile

OK 8/10 for Balducci. (Pending review, of course.)

Actually it wasn't difficult and I think it is a very fair test at least to me. Remember I spent 20 years in international trade so I kept track of what was going on and I remember the most useless information but if I meet someone I'll likely have no clue what their name is 20 minutes later. At two of the answers were found by elimination, such as the state in Australia.

Thank you. I was trying to match the difficulty of the "Smart American" quiz.

Really? When Jewish people refer to the Gregorian calendar, they use CE and BCE, and last time I checked, they professed a belief in the same god as Christians.

Since we're discussing smart global citizenry here, I should point out that the CE/BCE scientific notation is more widely used terms than BC/AD, which is probably why the question was phrased as it was.

I think 8 unless my slightly educated guesses for 3 and 5 pay off.

...especially when they call you to tell you you've won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry at 3 AM, and you're still struggling with college science!

(Speaking from personal experience, anyway)
