If you are referring to the girl laying on a board under a tentlike canopy, and the girl vanishing from the board, Dani Lary performed the effect on Cabaret. Perhaps you can search the Youtube videos for the performance if it is there. A lot of his material is.

It was on the MM show a few weeks ago. It's a great old effect but really hard to set up and perform. It was just in all the old books so is a dream for many like it was for me.

It was a chung ling soo effect , great idea! in the original version wheb the girl disappear the wood board fall down on the floor, great!

Can anyone site a source for this effect? I own a few of the 'old books' and am looking for a heads up on what to look for.
