I just got this via e-mail, thought I would pass it along. This is a great show! Great magic! We loved it! I am going so as to see Ross Johnson. He is one of the hardest working guys out there!

Ross is one of our favorites, too! Hope you got a chance to see him in action. If not, I'm sure he'll be returning to The Magic Cabaret sometime soon.

I saw this show again this past Wed. A great time was had by all. I spied Joshua Jay in the audience! WTF? He was totally cool, but I didn't have the nerve to approach him. I just walked past and said "Hi." Even an old tymer like me gets a little star struck. I think he was in town for a lecture. The other time I was there I spied John Bannon! Holy cow. Chicago is a great magic city! And this show is a great show!

Happy to say that The Magic Cabaret is featured in the December/January issue of Shore magazine with a fab article on the Chicago magic scene, past and present. An HTML version of the article is now up on the mag's website: http://visitshoremagazine.com/2/?p=8848

The Magic Cabaret is featured in the December issue of MAGIC Magazine! Thanks to Kevin Burke for the interview and to Ken Carl for the photos! Here's a bit of the intro to the interview:

"The Magic Cabaret, a show that can be seen every Wednesday night at the Greenhouse Theater Center in Chicago, is full of surprises. The show opened two years ago at the Biograph Theater, before moving a few blocks away to the Greenhouse last year. At The Magic Cabaret, the sense of wonder is conjured up in a way that is fun and frequently funny, but with an undercurrent of something dark and mysterious, and possibly dangerous. There is talk of zombies and incantations. A meal of sewing needles is washed down with a whiskey chaser. Even a pleasant visit to the World's Fair has a dark side."
