Its charm lies in its utter simplicity. A quick perusal of Annemann and you can easily make it yourself.

You might want to check Jack Kent Tillar's work on the OM Box because it makes it easier to construct and a bit more devious.

I have checked out almost 18 booklets by Tellar but could not find reference/ method on OM Box.

Greg, where can I find tellar's work on OM Box? I shall be grateful.

Thank you.

I remember him lecturing on it awhile back so I'm not sure what book it's in. Ask Jheff at Marketplace of the Mind because he works with Jack and his books.

I just realized you could just contact Jack directly at: jktillar@gmail.com

Tell him I sent you there and you want to know where he wrote up his idea for the OM Box. It might be in his lecture notes that he sells at his website: http://www.blistermagic.com

He also tips it in The Assumption Swindle on page 36 and mentions that he desribed it in his First Lecture notes.

It's in Chapter 1 of Annemann's PRACTICAL MENTAL MAGIC (You can also download it from Lybrary.com for $6 under the title PRACTICAL MENTAL EFFECTS). However, if you want to buy a very nice one, I recommend Larry Becker's Chameleon Chest from Viking Magic. (www.VikingMagic.com)

Gabor thank you for the input. I have read The Assumption Swindle, page 36 & 37 and I have gone thru all pages in Part-III of the said book.

Greg mentioned that Tillar's 'OM Box' is easier to construct and is a bit more devious. Hence I am keen in finding out construction details for making the same.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

P.S. I already have the 'Om Box' as detailed by Annemann.

The only booklet I don’t have in my repertoire by Jack Kent Tillar is his '1st Lecture Notes'. What a pity! Smile

However I checked out 'OManation' in Mind, Myth and Magick by T.A. Waters. I must say – So devious! Great Thinking!!

My sincere thanks to Greg and B Hackler for providing the references.

Greg & B Hackler - Thank you (Once again! Smile ) so much.

Isn’t the Café a great place for constant learning? Smile

Best regards,

Narendra

P.S. I’m on my way to building the NEW BOX. Smile

I recently published my "OM Billet Box Revisited" with some new/old ways of improving the device (one method allows you to show all parts of the box empty before collecting the billets) as well as some old/new routines to use it with. It's on my site in the Mini-Mysteries section if interested.
