I posted this in the "The tricks are on me" section and somebody recommend I see what you all have to say.

I'm considering getting in contact with some radio stations in the area and trying to go on for a bit and do some effects. Obviously, not all effects can be presented effectively over this medium considering your spectators can only hear, and not see you. Do you all have any ideas of effects that would work well over the radio? Are there any resources anybody could recommend?

Juan Tamariz has a book out with some good radio effects. It is called "Verbal Magic". Psychic Samarai on here is one to get in touch with as well, he is the master of phone/radio effects!

Heptagon + by Patrick Redford is a great reference for over the phone effects

He fooled me good and proper with one of his effects!

I also have a few I am working on at the moment

Andrew Gerrard has a 3 dvd series called thought waves, but I havent checked it out yet, sure is a winner, Gerrard is a Genius.

I wasnt too impressed with the dvds he put out.

They were ok and I got one or two little tips but as a whole I thought it could have been all put onto one dvd and have more reliable effects

just my opinion however!

I much prefer taking an existing effect an making it work over the phone

Look at "Disjuncture" from Doug Dyment's booklet Stimulacra. It can be adapted to fit many types of situations.
