Just a quick question
I bought my electric touch a month ago and I don't seem to make my batteries last, is like I only use it for a few minutes and then turn it off.. and then next performance are dead again.. I don't think I am abusing the electric touch cause I only use it being on for like 3 to 5 minutes at a time at most and then.. its done! I can see the light and the BUZZZ sound.. but.. no power again. I'm not sure if my brand of batteries are bad, I'm not making good contact or the electric touch does runs batteries rather quickly. so the question is.. HOW LONG does the batteries last for you?.. like I know it depends on the use.. but I'm wishing for a ¨all week using it several times on table hoppin¨ so I know I'm doing something wrong |

By the way.. when I say 3 at 5 minutes at a time
I don't mean.. ¨ON all the time¨ |

They shouldn't be running out that quickly. They should last you way longer than even just a few performances. However I have had countless problems with mine.
I think the ET is a piece of junk. It's now a paperweight on my desk. Luke |

I still have mine, and still use it. I actually like it for that extra "jolt" it can give. With that said, I have noticed that I am using it less and less, mostly because of the hassle of wearing it all the time. I'm slowly stripping down my day to day wear to include a peek wallet, Sanctum 2, and a couple of gaffed coins that work pretty well for messing with people's head.
Anyway, In response to your question, I would contact Yigal. The batteries in mine last a week, 2 weeks, maybe more depending on how heavy my usage is. It sounds like you might have a short somewhere. If you don't want to contact Yigal, then my only other suggestion would be to remove the batteries when you aren't using it. Hope that helps, JLJ

Mine had been stuck in a drawer, new and never used. I was going to sell it, but the batteries were dead.. So, I bought 4 batteries at Radio Shack. That set me back $20!!!!!! Ridiculous. Mine works SOMETIMES but not ALL the time. I agree with Shield. My ET is a piece of junk also.

Well, it is a item if it did what it said it was supposed to do.
I used it once on the quick set up mode and I was happy with the result. So I decided to custom make my shoe. After paying that much, I thought using it was the least I could do. Well I soon as I tried it again, it would not work. I changed batteries to make sure it wasn't the problem. It all seem to work fine, the light is on, I can hear the buzzing noise meaning it does activate, but nothing else. No electric touch. Have you ever had this problem? |

I don't know why anyone would spend this much to create static electricity anyway. It's no mystery how it is formed.
Certain conditions involving the shoes you where, your clothes, your body moisture, the environments temperature and humidity all determine how easily static electricity is formed. It takes 7 to 12 thousand volts to generate a static shock across air. If you're in poor conditions for static electricity, it will takes lots more battery to build up these voltages. A dry body, low humidity, and synthetic clothing may help. |

I have to agree with most here, this thing is junk! It has been sitting in a drawer since I bought it, It never worked wright in the first place. I now have a use for it tho, I should of thought of this before, thanks Sheild for the idea it does make a great paperweight.

Do you think so? I'll try with the quick set up again to see if it works or not.

I will only use Mesika thread when I make my own loops, and I found the loops dvd's quite entertaining. I also have exploding lightbulb and get some use from it as well. However, this item really is rubbish, and from the amount of them that seem to stop working I think Yigal should look into this. Daren I have also found an alternative use for this other than a paperweight - a fishing sinker. Luke |

My Batteries do last a long time, I won't call it a paperweight as it has helped me fix some people [ in a walk around show I did two boys were moving to every table I went & were being a bit smart. I transmitted some magical powers to them using ET & that settled the problem for me as there busy trying to generate the magical power between the 2 of them]
My only problem is 'm unable to light a tubelight/bulb as mentioned by Mr. Mesika..When I try that both the person & I get a good "shock" but not even a blink is there on the light bulb Best Wishes, Raj. |

I also had several times the problem of
seeing the ET light up, hearing the BUZZ and then not working at all.. it just not something you can trust, it doesn't work and you always end up ¨moving to something else¨ while you are on a routine.. I'm gonna say that I did use it like 10 times like it should work and all those people were really impressed is a shame this doesn't work I hope somebody will come up with a newer better version |

Hello all,
I am disappointed to see that none of us heard from Mr Mesika. I would have expected to get an answer after we all paid so much for something that doesn't work. I have sent him an email referring to this thread a while back now. Didn't react anymore, giving him benefit of the doubt. Thinking that maybe he was not a member or maybe that he was away from his mailbox. Well, got proof of the contrary and seriously hope that he gets in touch with all of us now. Not really angry, just think that this is real bad business practice. Patrick http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rt=60#21 |

Yigal doesn't troll the forums like most of us do. However, if you will call him or send him an e-mail, he will be very happy to help you get Electric Touch to work.
Regarding having it work when you tried it in quick setup mode, then not work when you have the shoes customized, there is an good chance that it isn't grounding properly. Griping about it on the forum isn't going to get any results. E-mail him.
