Hey guys,

I've always wanted to keep a road-journal when I travel, just as a way to keep track of my own memories, but always seem to forget or simply don't get around to it.

So, when Mike Krass asked me to contribute something to his site, Magicanada, I thought I could get two birds stoned at once.

A quick word about the quality of the writing: I usually get in at around 3 or 4 in the morning and write my entries- sometimes later- so the quality of writing reflects that. In other words, its on par with my writing here!

Thank you to Ben for the plug and for graciously offering such a cool little thing to Magicanada. It gives us the opportunity to ask questions, and have some big forces in magic answer them (via Ben, of course)... as well as read about his adventures around NYC. Definitely check it out!

My best friend in junior high was named ben and I train everyday with magic so. Ben Train, we're practically brothers if you think about it. See you at the triple G, son.

Seems to me like I saw the name Ben Train in the June Magic Magazine, with a trick called Kosher Monte. Ben is referred to as an "interesting dude." Can't wait to check out the trick.

I just got back from Josh's place, where I've been crashing for a few days. Keep in mind- Josh is making fun of me. As he pointed out "I thought it was really nice and intimate! I NEVER talk about people's personal details in the column unless their good friends!"

The trick though, if I do say so myself, is a good one. When I released it Caleb Wiles, who's High Spots book was one of my top 10 books of the year (so far!) emailed me to tell me I "Sucked" because he had been working on an ungaffed version of that plot for years, and I had come up with the perfect version.

Whether it's perfect or not is for you guys to decide. I know it's been working great for me and has ALMOST gotten girls to talk to me (which is pretty sweet!).

I've been using "Kosher Monte" (Three Card Monte Burns) a lot, to great success. It's a fooler. I still hate that this thing fooled me... so simple, but when Ben showed it to me I thought he used a Mendoza switch or something... he didn't.

Mike makes a good point-

It's called Three Card Monte Burns. I love that title. Don't let Josh fool you!
