Greetings, all --
I have some out-of-town shows coming up, and would like to get a good travel-type suit. I have a decent LL Bean blazer, but it's very heavy "microfiber" material and not something I can wear under hot stage lights without sweating to death. Has anyone bought (and/or can recommend) a good looking suit that can stand up to being packed away in a suitcase and still look sharp? Extra points for being lightweight and breathable. I don't mind poly-wool or some other blend, as long as it looks good. Thanks for any input you might have. With all good thoughts, Rory

Pat and I have both worn Tilley Wear products and liked them. You can check them out here http://www.tilley.com/

A lot of the good makers have special wrinkle-resistant "Travel" fabrics. Zegna comes to mind as does Loro Piana. You may be able to find a Brooks Brothers suit from their collaboration with the Loro Piana mill for a bit cheaper then LP proper.
Personally I don't like the idea of choosing a fabric just for utility. I would take your regular suits in good quality garment bags and buy a small travel steamer to spruce them up once you're at your arrival.

A good garment bag is all you really need - samsonite always works well...
