Conversation between George W. and his National Security Advisor,
Condolezza Rice

George: Condi! Nice to see you. What's happening?
Condi: Sir, I have the report here about the new leader of China.
George: Great. Lay it on me.
Condi: Hu is the new leader of China.
George: That's what I want to know.
Condi: That's what I'm telling you.
George: That's what I'm asking you. Who is the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes.
George: I mean the fellow's name.
Condi: Hu.
George: The guy in China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The new leader of China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The Chinaman!
Condi: Hu is leading China.
George: Now whaddya' asking me for?
Condi: I'm telling you Hu is leading China.
George: Well, I'm asking you. Who is leading China?
Condi: That's the man's name.
George: That's who's name?
Condi: Yes.
George: Will you or will you not tell me the name of the new leader of
China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir? Yassir Arafat is in China? I thought he was in the Middle
East.
Condi: That's correct.
George: Then who is in China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir is in China?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Then who is?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Look, Condi. I need to know the name of the new leader of China.
Get me the Secretary General of the U.N. on the phone.

Condi: Kofi?
George: No, thanks.
Condi: You want Kofi?
George: No.
Condi: You don't want Kofi.
George: No. But now that you mention it, I could use a glass of milk. And
then get me the U.N.
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Not Yassir! The guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Milk! Will you please make the call?
Condi: And call who?
George: Who is the guy at the U.N?
Condi: Hu is the guy in China.
George: Will you stay out of China?!
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: And stay out of the Middle East! Just get me the guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi.
George: All right! With cream and two sugars. Now get on the phone.
(Condi picks up the phone.)
Condi: Rice, here.
George: Rice? Good idea. And a couple of egg rolls, too. Maybe we should
send some to the guy in China. And the Middle East. Can you get Chinese
food in the Middle East?

Just our of curiosity, how many more times is this version going to be posted? It was OK, the first 3 times I saw it on the Magic Café, but now, not so much. (Granted, you can't find many of them because they turned into deleted political threads.)

I'm sure everyone who is too young to remember Johnny Carson's version parodying Ronald Reagan thinks this is so clever!

If I haven't seen it, it's new to me.

So Scott to answer your rather pouty question: Over 9000!
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

Of course, it was an old vaudeville routine before Abbott & Costello ever perfected it.

And Jackie Chan trotted out a version in one of his movies, which made sense because of his ethnicity.

I like his movies - lots of colour and movement, some good laughs and pure escapism.

I'm surprised this is making the rounds yet again on here. It is very very old and President wise Johnny Carson's take on it was better then anyone's who even attempted a version of it after wards. Lets not post this anymore it's old and has been done much better. No need to keep reinventing it.

excluding the A&C who's on first and the Carson version of the above, every other version after wards is just lame and boring. Much like a good many of the rehash of so called improvements on magic effects.

Here's another Johnny Carson classic, Copper Clappers

Can't help but wonder how many times they had to practice this to get it right and do so without breaking up each time they said it.

I'll bet there was some cave man who realized that their word for the hill where one of the hunters stood ("Grood", spelled like a stick figure holding a stick on a hill) sounded the same as the name of the guy with the stupid forehead that didn't stick out as much as the cool kids ("Grude", his portrait was of a stick figure holding another stick on a hill). He decided to make a joke out of it: "Goo hu Grood... Grude? nulo buj!". you really had to be there, funny stuff.

So Johnny Carson and Abbot and Costello are hacks!!!

I've seen "Who's On First" re-done many times. True, most of them were lame.

This one's not as good as the original, but what could be?
