Has anyone here made one of these? Sadly, I don't own any of Bertram's books so I was wondering what is the best material to use? I've tried using thick felt but was not super happy with the results...

The Ross Bertram Welcome Mat was made of a very high quality wool called Merino wool according to the information supplied with the video "Ross Bertram's Legendary Magic". It measures 22 1/2 inches wide by 21 3/4 inches deep.

Merino wool is often used in making suits. There is also an article written that says Ross used billiard cloth as it didn't pill like normal felt.
