Here are a few more Coin Box effects that I do. Some are used as an opener or a closer. It really depends. I use these as part of a routine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wQQJv4S2Eo&feature=related This one plays better live. I think its a great way to introduce the box. Then again..its just my style. Here is another one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiSz8dQssaI I hope this sparks more interest and ideas with the coin boxes. I strongly suggest that you guys get a hold of Roth's works on the box. You will be enjoying it for years to com. Mr. Neighbors has tons as well. Others that come to mind would be Gallo and Robison. A joy to watch and learn. Mabuhay from Manila! Rannie

My favorite is Roth's "Out With Four". But I really like the way those four coins appeared in place for a Matrix routine!
I promise to get some videos uploaded soon!

Great work, Rannie. I especially liked the first one. Is this one of Roth's effects. Is it in his book?
Keep up the good work. You have a wonderful talent. Thanks for sharing. Fortasse |

Thank you Fortasse. Both are my own. I do not have Roth's book. Can anyone tell me if Roth has something similar?
anyway...here is one that I created when Roth and Rubinstein came to my house over a year ago. It was sort of a gift. This video is the maiden performance. It has improved over time. I will post a newer version soon. Here it is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug7HSwfAFf0 Rannie

Rannie, Nice box routines. Didn't you have one, that only uses one coin and the box? I looked for that on youtube, but my search turned up nothing.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, Joe

Rannie, great routines, I like the misdirection you used, you don't see the coins coming to the 4 corners..
I have a trip plan to some Asian countries in the near future and hopefully I can add Las Filipinas. Un abrazo ... pablo |

Great stuff ran my man, as always. And I agree with Mick here, "Lesson in a Box" is a great one and quite a tutelage. Good job my friend.

Beautiful routines. The simultaneous appearance of the four coins in matrix formation was fantastic. |

Wait until you see Curtis Kam's X-Box moves with a coin box. Imagine flourishing with an Okito box. I've been playing with a couple of the ideas I retained from the last time Curtis and I crossed paths, and the stuff looked phenomenal!!!! I hope he releases the material soon.

My stuff is child's play compared to Curtis I am sure. I can only imagine what this x-box move is like. I hope to see it soon.

Hi. These videos are great. The routines are entertaining. Where are the Boston Massacre and Lesson In A Box routines published?

A little blue plastic "pill box" from Tannen's in the 50s for one dollar sparked my interest in this great piece of apparatus. Im happy to see the Okito Box continues on today. Keep it going. Great thread.

Tabman :
I agree. The Okito box is one of the most under-utilized bits of close-up magic. It's gratifying to see that talented and entertaining magicians like Rannie are helping to revive it. Sean |
