Funny you mention it. I've been performing my super visual handling of the effect lately. I actually have a very visual handilng. I use the first move from the routine to cause the card to turn face up using the Paul Harris handling. In my seocnd phase, the cards are openly spread so you can see ALL THREE backs and the middle card still turns face up, even in the spread condition. The last phase the middle card VISIBLY turns color while trapped between the two other cards. Fools layman and magician alike.

Wow Eric I would love to see that too. I have been doing Harris's bizarre twist since his VHS came out showing the effect.

Check out "Return of the Bizzare Shrink on page 129 of Art of Astonishment Book 3. It was originally in "Close Up Kinda Guy" 1983.
I use it all the time. I also have special Jokers made up of different cards. PM me if interested. The effect is that a card visably shrinks when placed between two jokers.

I may show it on YouTube PRIVATELY to friends who request it, but I don't think I'll be posting any public videos anytime soon. For whatever reason, my magic never looks as good on video as it does live.

Hi Eric, I would be interested in seeing your routine on this also....

I do a variation of "Hunter's Monte" from splitting the cards DVD...

My first move is the "Twist", but I do the variation from the Astonishment book
shown later in one of the volumes....to me it is more visual.

I don't agree. I think your magic is smooth and visual on video.

Bizarre Twist Rules! When the back color of the card changes, the spectator's reaction is priceless.

Guys,

I'm going to eventually put this out to the general public, but I am giving the gimmick away for free to those ALL who attend my workshop. I"m offering a workshop on July 25th at Denny and Lee's Magic Studio in Baltimore(only 4 slots left avail), August 1st in State College Pa, and in St. Louis, MO on August 12th. These will be the ONLY places you can get this trick as it isn't for sale.
