You will probably have to do this yourself. Use an electric carving knife. Outline the letters on the foam with a magic marker. Be very, very careful.

I've done a bit with freezing the sponge in water, making some carving a bit easier I found.

You can buy sponge letters. You might be able to glue them together or something?
'Course my last name only has 4 letters, if yours is something like Nibletiskletireweskityellow you might need smaller letters than those available. If your last name really is Nibletiskletireweskityellow, I deserve some sort of medal for calling it, but that's not really relevant at this time.

It might be worth a try to contact Goshman. They might be able to do it or
send you a sheet of material. |

All really great suggestions - thanks so much. Anyone know where I can buy the sponge letters? Googles but can't find them.

The ones you find with google are hard polyfoam. They won't work for what you want to do. Get some foam sheet and a foam cutter and do it yourself. It ain't rocket science.

If you can buy the foam, take it to an engraving shop that has a Laser marking system. They can precision cut the piece for you for a reasonable charge.

My wife bought me a bag of foam letters a while back that were pretty soft. Not as soft as the supersofts mind you but soft enough. But regardless, as I can not remember where I got them I am not much help. These are very similar I believe. Pretty soft as far as sponges typically available (to non-magicians) go.
