Anyone know a magic source here in Yokosuka Japan? I'd like to take some lessons, share magic, or visit a magic shop. Can anyone help? Roy

I imagine that you're only about an hour away from Tokyo, no? Have you been to Magic Land?

Yes Yokosuka is 1 hour away from Tokyo by train. And Yokosuka is 30 minutes away from Yokohama.

Yokohama Magical Groupe : http://ymg2006.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

There is Yokosuka Magic Club, but I could not find their site.

Roy,

Do you need train info and directions to MagicLand, or have you already made it there? I know I had to have pretty specific help to find an address in Tokyo. I wandered in to the shop early on a Saturday. Mama-san speaks great English and was very helpful. She knew when the regulars would show up and introduced me. I think wandering in on a Saturday, about 10:00 AM just might be the hook up. I know it was for me in my Squid Stuck in Japan days.

Mr. Kent
No I do not have specific directions to Magicland nor have I ever been there. I can figure the train ride but would be lost after stepping out of the train station, lol... Thanks. Roy

I hunted around on-line. Try this link. Mrs. Onosaka speaks great English. Your best bet is get a solid plan to get from the base to Kayaba-Cho station. Call the shop before you show up. If I recall, Mama-san's directions were excellent. The phone number to the shop is in the link below. You're on your own now, sailor.

If you need more help, I'm certain Kato-san has a far better knowledge of one's way around Japan Smile

Go out of exit 1 or 2 at Kayaba-chou subway station. At the nearest intersection you'll see the green "Pepper Lunch" restaurant on the corner. Go down that side street less than a block.(If you pass "Lawson" you've gone too far.) You'll see a little sign "Magic Land" on the left. It's on the third floor of that building.

That is the exact description where Magicland is. You must pay visit once when you go to Japan.

I did that in April last year.

You can find the map here :
http://www.magicland.jp/Home/LandMap.html

You see (2) exit of subway which is the exit Mit-san mentioned.
As Kent-san pasted the photos of Pepper Lunch restaurat, you won't miss the corner you turn.
