I don't know the guy but hats off to Drew Thomas from where ever he is from. He went on America's Got Talent and along with his absolutely stunning wife (and a couple other partners) did an outstanding job presenting an illusion. He had an unique look, wasn't flouncy, his delivery was nice, the technical aspect was great and smooth. Very nice to see.

Very nice and semi-original "Bump" presentation.

Looked great! Body switch was pulled off flawlessly. Brings back sweet memories of when I saw Doug Henning do this on one of his TV specials.

Wow...in the beginning the wife said it was her first performance in a while...good thing she didn't freak out on the bigger stage...playing a leading roll and all.
I was surprised how strongly the judges reacted....as well as Drew himself Great performance and character from this guy. He is my favorite act so far...right after the lady who makes animal sounds... CW
People have been calling me "Yu" lately. I don't know, must be Chinese.

Was there any magicians on the first episode, since I didn't get to see it?
Also, anyone remember that guy on the second episode who danced and did some tricks (like balls from mouth, stiff rope)? |

Not really, there was a couple specialty acts. The only good performance was from some little girls out of Seattle, they were very good.

I just posted on this topic at genii, so thought I'd cc it here too:
------------------------------------------ Drew Thomas deserves any recognition he gets from AGT.. it was a nice surprise seeing him there. I haven't seen him in many years but Drew and I were two of many teenage magicians who would put together illusions each year to perform in the stage contests at the Columbus Magi-fest. They were fun days. He is a pro and an illusionist who pays attention to details.. and in magic, it's the details that make or break an illusionist. Congrats Drew. Nick Carifo

Acchessor, that was tom dunin (sp)I thought the stiff rope was done too quickly but the balls from mouth were nice. Not nearly as good as Drew though.

I was wondering if there was going to be a post here about Drew's performance on Americas Got Talent. I liked his version of the illusion very much. Flawless, even if I know how it was done. Drew's not the first to perform this illusion, but he owned it that night. Sharron commented that he was the best illusionist she has ever seen. I'm a thinking that she hasn't seen many. Not taking anything away from Drew, because he did a fantastic job. I look forward to seeing what he does next on in Vegas.
