I have developed a new effect but am not sure how to present it. I dislike gambling like tricks which can seem to take advantage of the spectator, but that seems a logical approach. So, I am thinking of a "Rock-Paper-Scissors" approach in which the spectator tries to guess which hand has the quarter. I can control which one but would do so before his guess, just like in the game. I would try and outguess him, but not use sleights to control the result. The magic is the never mentioned fact that the quarter changes hands invisibly though held several feet apart. I was thinking of claiming that one hand holds a quarter and the other hand holds a "nothing." His job is to guess where the "nothing" is. The concept is that the two 'things' change places -- not that the quarter moves back and forth.
Basic effect: a single quarter is on the table or borrowed. Two small covers are used -- poker chips, sugar packets, pill container caps, whatever -- just so that they are a somewhat wider than the quarter. I'll assume a black and orange poker chip. The chips are spun on the table while you explain the game. A spectator decides which hand the quarter should start in -- and you place it on the fingers and cover it with the black chip. The other hand picks up the orange chip. Both are slid back to reveal either the Quarter or the Nothing. The chips are slid foreward and rubbed with the thumbs -- the hands never coming near each other. After the guess by the spectator the chips are allowed to slide onto the table to reveal the location of the Quarter and Nothing. Repeat as desired. Normal chips or packets and no special coin is used. Comments?? will this approach make sense?

Well, its great but try another way to present it I would just say "you see the coin going there, are you absolutely sure its there?"normally they would say "yes" "if so, grab it and take it" and the effect is performed
