To answer your questions :

1) There exist two version of the quick change bowtie; one changing only from red to black and vice versa; and another one changing through different colors (red, black, green ,blue...)
2) Yes, you can wear a vest, but you must wear a jacket aswell.

yes you can modifying the Gimmick for a shirt with other colours - it's a litte difficult - but it's easy for a taylor (or grandma, mother, girlfriend, wife...)
