Does anyone have Leopard Die, as seen on Hank's new Hotlist? It looks interesting.

Many years ago I made my own die using a small (2.5inch) transparent acrylic cube.

The effect looks very good but has limitations. The main limitations:-

(a) The viewing angle is quite restricted.

(b) Can not be given for examination.

Other than the above limitations the effect looks very magical.

P.S. The Leopard Die, as seen in the photo, shows the spots changing from Green to Yellow & vise-a-versa. It would have been better if the spots changed from Black to White & vise-a-versa.

Don't know who was the first to market this effect, but I have one that I bought in the mid-late 1970s. As I recall, like many other effects, it enjoyed a brief popularity after being featured on a magic special on TV (Doug Henning perhaps ??). Although it can be quite startling when properly presented, Ustaad has accurately described its significant limitations.
