Was just curious how many of us are going to Mindvention.
I booked my trip already (my first one) and figured it would be nice to meet up with some Café members while there... Anyone going? |

I was also quite looking forward to Mindvention but looking at the reviews of Palace Station (via Trip advisor)
I have noticed they now have a $16.95 PER NIGHT resort fee assessed upon check-in. This rip off charge is well hidden on the palace station web site and has caught out many people so I guess the next question is can anyone recommend a hotel Near the Palace Station as I do not feel like doing business or Paying this charge for something I would not use ! |

Unfortunately, very little is within what was referred to by one of the concierge staff as "Safe walking distance" of the hotel. It's not terribly far from the strip (and myriad hotels), but you need to walk through what's apparently a high crime area (place your own Vegas joke here), where I was told there have been a lot of problems.
I don't know if that was a load of bull or not, but it is what I was told when I was planning on walking to the strip. Having said that, the Vegas transit (bus system) is pretty good, and a bus stops right outside the Palace Station. |
