I teach them the french drop with a penny. Takes up time as they learn each step. Have them hold there hand against their chest at first so the coin doesn't fall on the floor. I get a nice laugh teaching them where to look. First do it well. Then look obviously at the bottom hand as it goes down to your side.have them think of a story to go with the trick. Where they found the penny etc. I have them divide into pairs and perform for each other. Then have a few perform for the whole group.

Teach them Hopping Rubber Bands. I teach them 3 phases.
1) Red rubber band jumps from one side to the other 2) Red and blue rubber bands change places 3) Red and blue rubber bands change places, while secured by a third green rubber band. If you break out the motions, step by step, you can have all of the kids doing step 1 successfully after a few minutes. You can buy the rubber bands at staple and each kid gets 3 different colors. |
