Funny, I was just looking at that yesterday. Mimesis has some gaffs that aren't so common. They have a nickel and dime trick (like dime and penny) that I've not seen anywhere else.
I didn't realize that lethal tender was only offered in half dollar size. From the description it seems this may have been tried before (dollar size) with not so good results. Perhaps a regular mag card would bend under the weight of a dollar [.

It would be nice to perform lethal tender with a dollar coin, but the regular half dollar one suits me fine for now.

I'm seeing some Lethal Tender sets for sale that don't have the wallet. Is this a change? There is a Tango LT set on eBay, very good price, but there is no wallet in the picture. I know that Chinatown Half doesn't use a wallet, but I thought that Lethal Tender always did.

It should have a wallet with it. There is a way to do it in the spectators hand but I prefer to do it first with the wallet and then in the spectator's hand. If you get one I actually prefer the Sterling Non-Bicycle card one. It is thinner and has better action. You can snap it on the coin to make it change.
Have fun!!! TC |

I want to get the half dollar size LT. Which brand is best?
TC says Sterling with non-bicycled backed card. Are the coins all equivalent, or is there one set that is preferred?

Some have black Chinese coins others are brass. I know the Sterling is black. I am pretty sure the Sasco one is brass. Not sure about the Royal one. I have had both but still prefer the Sterling only because the card flicks better. But if you are wanting Bicycle then you will need to go with anothe one. Juast keep in mind the Bicycle is thicker.

I had the sterling one and it worked well for me. But still want the Dollar size one.

The royal uses a thick shimmed bike and a black chinese coin which is rather light weight. it feels lighter than a half dollar (clad) which is a downside for me because I like my coins heavy.

That looks like a sasco set that I have. They are great and priced well. The only thing to look out for is that the card is strong enough to hold the coin after the vanish.

Alas, the Dollar size is ONLY available as a Morgan....still no "Ikes" available. An Eisenhower would be cheaper.
I've never owned a Morgan, or any other type of "Silver" dollar. I can get all the Ikes I want. $1.25 each. Why no Ike gaffs? I have an Ike Expanded. that's it. Do any of you Dollar coin workers use Ikes? Why/why not? Thanks! Doug |

I prefer the soft coins as they are not as noisy. Tango is starting to make some Ike gaffs. They have Ike Flippers, Slipper Sams and their new TUC comes in an Ike.

These guys, TC?
http://www.tangomagic.com/home.php?cat=1 The new TUC is interesting. $90...hoo boy. Gotta be good! A Flipper would be nice, but Slippery Sam I'll have to do a little research. My Ike "expanded" is REALLY nice. Johnson Products did good on this one. Thanks again! PS: Just found Slippery Sam! OK..'nuff said! Brilliant! Doug |

Yes that is the site Dougini. The SS is a cool coin. You can do a nice 3 Fly with it.
