Dear community!
A friend of mine will travel to Singapore for 2 weeks and I´m interested if anyone can suggest me some good quality playing cards to purchase there (I normaly prefer Bicycle or Tally Ho - maybe you have hints what cards to buy there??) thanks for suggestions and kind regards from Vienna Martin

See if your friend can find "Aladdin 1001's" as these are used in gaming houses, I believe! Great cards!

Aladdin Cards are very common in Singapore and you can get them quite cheap here. Despite it being cheap, it's quality is just as good as Bicycle deck.

Yes, David's right. Aladdin Cards are probably the most common brand of USPC cards sold here in Singapore. They're priced at around S$3 per pack (US$1.70) or thereabouts. My personal opinion is that they are slightly inferior to Bikes, Bees and Tally Ho's, but they're worth a try.
Bees can be found here in quite a few NTUCs (supermarket chain), and they're about S$4.50 per pack (around US$2.50). And I think Bicycles can only be found in magic shops, whereas Tally Ho's are almost non-existent. Hope this helps, Martin! And I hope your friend enjoys his trip to Singapore! |
