I'm reading the instructions that came with the Johnson Silver/Copper/Brass (the routine credited to J. C. Wagner & Bob Sheets), and I'm getting a bit lost toward the end of the description. Can anyone help?

The final phase of the routine makes mention of allowing the half dollar to drop from the hand at the very end. But I'm at a loss to see how it gets there in the first place. Was something omitted in the text of the instructions, or am I missing something despite re-reading it over and over?

Grateful for any clarification or guidance from those who might be familiar with the routine that comes with the Johnson set (private messages OK if deemed most appropriate).

Once you've rung in the gaff, the half is there the whole time. I don't have my instructions handy, so I can't offer more. If you don't get an answer here you could contact Johnson directly for assistance.

JC Wagner also published the handling in his book Commercial Magic.
He also mentioned it on tape but I do not rememeber which volume.

Thanks to all. I've finally figured out what was confusing me about the routine, as written. Guess I just need extraordinary clarity in instructional prose, which can sometimes be a bit dense or unclear (or so at least it can seem to a relative newbie like myself).

Roth and other DVDs are on my list; but I also just wanted to at least first get down the basic routine that came with my newly purchased gaff!
