Got this in the post today, thanks Ellusionist.
I am quite impressed. Well, very impressed actually. Surprisingly - as I hate most card thru window methods. (Why do we magicians insist on shortening words in our effect names?) Window is a real magician pleaser, not only the effect, but the method, which is just so bloody clever I don't get how it was possibly concieved. When shown to a fellow magician (a UK TV performer) he said he wants it. Like, he wanted my copy, then and there. I can't tell you how pleasing this effect is when you see it performed, OR when you know the method for the very first time. However, although the gimmick and method of using it, seem devilishly easy, there is a definate knack and technique to learn, and like all good tricks, it needs a decent amount of practice. Which can be fustrating, as the process is on the surface, so easy. It is also quite annoying that unlike Mr Stone, I did not have access to a free standing fake window, so every time I wanted to reset I found myself leaning out of my window trying to reset the gimmick card. However, I can understand why this is not included in the DVD box. One last bug, before I remind you that I do actually like this a lot, why no written instructions? Not the first trick I have had recently that came just with a DVD to learn from. I love learning from DVD, don't get me wrong, but I also like to have some written instructions on hand, and diagrams to study. Essentially the method has no flaws, and although the effect is pretty amazing, its not yet perfect, just lacking the ellusive perfect card THROUGH window moment. This is an amazing card change through window, which achieves a CTW like effect sometimes, but the first contact with the window, to make the selected card go through isn't as magical as the change effect. But for a card change through window, its brilliant. Please don't let the above put you off. I'm not elaborating on the magicalness of this trick as you can see for yourself how magical it looks in the promo video. And it really is that magical looking. I highly recommend WINDOW by David Stone, and I throw down the gauntlet to someone to make that first transpositon in the effect, as magical and marvalous as David's card change. It would be prefect. http://www.ellusionist.com/window-by-david-stone.html Edd Withers http://www.themagicwoods.co.uk

They have joined the Ellusionist Window Product forum, so if you have it, join that and take a look. Edd

Gimmick quaility aside the only thing that bugs me as it is marketed a card through window, but its really not. as the card begins taped to the window. its really a whole different effect

I agree, but I think the mis-naming can be justified because names aside, this is a very good effect.

So could you do your favorite card through window, only to reveal the wrong card, and then perform "window" to turn it into the correct card?

So if I have Windowmation I can f**c* a card and have it produce the wrong card on the window only to be magically changed to the correct card?

Wow, I was really expecting harsher reviews. I can see why misnaming a trick could bug a purchaser. I may have to check this out; the price seems quite fair for what the trick accomplishes~

Nothing beats the perfection of windowmation. That thing is the closest we will ever get to the real thing.

Windowmation is great but takes major setup. Window is a great but pricy card change.

Windowmation takes a major setup? Since when?
But I agree that window is more practical for a daily use. |
