Hi guys,

A couple a months ago I was at a lecture of aldo colombini. It was great. I have his lecture notes and I took one of his rope routine and make it a custom routine for me. It is really magic when I perform this. I am happy to share so for interest you can pm me.

Now I am looking for rope routine's with the same lenght of ungimmicked ropes (two or three) so I can build on. I do only one routine in my kid show (cut and restored) but that is not what I am looking for. I want to do magic with two or three ropes with the same lenght.

Do you have any suggestions or advice where to look for inspiration?

Qua-Fiki's Blendo Ropes starts off using a red, white and blue rope (colors optional) of the same length. At the end, the three color ropes blend together and penetrate your body at the same time. It's in The Wizards' Journal #16 on my site.

I don't remember its name or source, but you have two equal ropes tied so that they look unequal, and two unequal tied to look the same. Then two kids get involved and their held ropes change place in their hands. Then you can other effects with the ropes. This is older than dirt but has great audience participation.

This sounds like an effect UF Grant devised. It was an ungimmicked rope transposition which relied unpon the way un which the sets were knotted.

Used to know its name, but you know how nemory fades with age.

Sounds a similar to Equal-Unequal Ropes, by Gen Grant. You can find it in Wilson's Complete Course, p256
