It's been in the dollar stores for years now. I'm not sure this will really make much difference. When methods for effects become commonplace in the public knowledge, we can combat it by eliminating that explanation through good routining. For example: after a card trick, use the spectator's chosen card (which he has just handled) to float the match. Of course, you'll have to work a little harder to ring in the gaff, but you've eliminated that explanation even if someone has seen how the trick works. People have been doing similiar things for years with common effects such as linking rings. Show the key ring, toss it aside and then proceed to perform the effect "without it."

I don't know bob. Some of that does indeed work/help but I also know any explaination from a spec even one that's illogical/wrong/unlikly weakens the impact or effect. the only answer is to remove the playing card from the equation ( which has been done ) but its still a shame I think. Im less concerned abotu dollars stores and more about geeks ( I am one too heh ) who value no secrets further spreading exposure. not that thinkgeek by itself is going to cause a breakdown, but its another step in the direction
