I was just pondering lately on Derren Brown's opener to his show Something Wicked. He goes right into a cold reading of the entire audience as a whole. Its pretty brilliant I think. It establishes his character in an entertaining and funny way, as well as sets up the right frame for the following prediction that takes place. The general impression made on the audience is that "he knows us pretty well, so he must be able to predict our actions or manipulate us in some way".

Any one know of anyone else doing a cold reading of an entire audience?
