I was asked to do a school assembly next year and need to right up a proposal for it.

Can anyone share any information on proposals and how to right them?

Thanks.

Most office stores have pre-filled document software you can purchase on a CD-ROM. It usually cost from $10 - $20. Most of the words are already made out. It walks you through the process for proposals, forms, contracts, etc.

Also try searching with Google for "proposal template" and you should turn up a lot of examples.

I'd try learning the difference between "write" and "right". That sort of thing tends to turn off educators. Ross, you are a card.

And for those who think this is nit-picking, I just stumbled on this- I wasn't even looking, it just crossed my path...

I'm so glad that others care about spelling and typos aside from customers and myself. Thanks, Terry.

I have a friend proofread some of my letters, etc., because I often will miss the obvious.

Right them, you know, how to make them right.

One of the key things to remember when trying to sell an assembly show is that you are not selling the show itself. You are selling the benefits of the show. What can your show do for the school, the student body or the teaching program? A daytime assembly encroaches upon valuable teaching time and is usually funded from the school's budget. So, what does your show bring to the table to justify the school dedicating it's time and money to you? The more effectively and concisely you can address this issue, the more successful you will be in making your proposal.

Matthew, I think they're just asking for your prices, and information about the show you will deliver.
