Years ago I was gifted by a friend of mine with this little statue ( about 9.06 inches ). He named it Our Lady of Darkness ( btw his site, http://web.tiscalinet.it/sculptus/ is worth a look )
Any suggestion on using it in a routine ? |

There needs to be a miniature "Relic" around his/her neck
You of course have the Mystical original! I also LOVED the site. Awesome!

She looks like she could be made to slowly rotate and "point" at a Tarot Card, or placed on a compass rose, could point to a direction.

Is he still doing stuff? The last entry on the site seems to be from 2004?
Was/is he also selling his work?

Thanks Spellbinder, yes, I like the idea of the statue 'pointing'.
I agree, folks, he was a very talented Lovecraft-inspired artist. And Skeleton : I'm afraid is no more active at the moment, due to health problems, mostly. |

You could also pass a candle in front of the statue and it is blown out mysteriously. I would imagine a puff of air from an empty squirting flower bulb taped to your wrist, if directed into the open hood of the statue, would blow air back out to do the job. The idea needs testing.

Most excellent... and since it is named after a Fritz Leiber creation... tied to Clark Ashton Smith in the story... it could be used as a maguffin to do a para-elemental routine... smoke ghost...urban werewolf... our the Lady herself... hmmm... this inspires me to create a Megapolisomancy book... hmmm

Spellbinder, that other idea would be nice too. The statue as a 'psychopompos' or one of the Moirae shutting the candle when is pronounced the name of a dead person, the flame symbolizing human earthly existence. But I think it's a bit too risky. Not having one of those bulbs presently I tried to blow with a straw ; sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Who knows ; maybe with an 'automatic' extinguishing candle...
A Megapolisomancy book, dr. Spektor, fantastic ! I adore the Leiber novel. I share your hopes, pals. It's a pity he gave it all up. |

When you do 'Centre Tear' push all the torn pieces of paper inside her head and through her do the reveal.

That wouldn't bad, Roni, thank you too. Only...
...the problem is that the niche isn't that deep : you can't toss anything inside. So that it wouldn't be really 'involved'. |

There is a Steven Minch <sp> routine wherein the statue is covered, moves across the table then vanishes in a flash of fire leaving behind an oily residue.

If is is waterproof, it might be nice to make her weep drops of blood?

There is a routine in Capricornian tales that amongst other things uses a small statue

I wish I could find that little statue in Capricornian Tales. It just looks......so......perfect!
The hatpin really sells it! However, to replicate that effect, I believe the statue needs to have one special property innate in the design to be useful.
Things are about to change........ LIGHTS!!!

Thanks for the additional suggestions, folks.
Don't know if is waterproof, Walt, I'll have to ask. DrNorth, where that Steven Minch routine can be found ? Can you describe the effect ? |

Sorry Dr North, I asked you to describe the effect...and you actually did, silly me !
Let's erase the second question. The first one still remains, though. |

Maybe you can posses it with some spirit, and play around with PK touch and movement
