Had a great meeting with Uri Geller last evening at his apartment in London.
I came with Eran Raven (who participated 'Phenomenon'). Click here to view attached image. |

Personally, I would love to hear the Michael Jackson histories from Uri Geller. My thoughts exactly when reading this thread. As a MJ fan, (possible kiddie fiddling aisde,) I'd not only be interested in the insights on Michael Jackson, but I'd also be interested in the relationship between him and Uri. When I first heard of MJ and Uri knocking about together two things crossed sprung to mind: 1. Who is more untrustworthy - Michael Jackson or Uri Geller? 2. Is Michael Jackson being taken for a ride?

Uri is a friend. I got to know him in person when I attended "The Successor" TV show in Israel.
More than that, is a wonderful human being. I wrote him that I am in London and I would like to meet him, and he arranged this right away. I know for sure that if you are in London and you send him an E-mail that you are a magician/mentalist and that you wish to meet him, if he is available, he will do so. I admire this quality that he is always nice to people and being very helpful. He told me about that ITV program that he made about Michael Jackson. He also told me some more things about him which can't be described in a message board. |

I know for am absolute fact that they haven't spoken in 7 years. Geller's been riding the Jackson gravy train for years. I'm not at all impressed by the photograph. It makes me sick. I hope you enjoyed the trappings of his life of crooked lies.

Roy, you'll tempt me into getting on a plane right away
I don't know him at all, but about a month ago he did something for a personal friend of mine which impressed me greatly. Obviously I'm not in a position to share... but suffice it to say he had nothing to gain from it, in fact nobody else will ever know about it. He certainly was very helpful and more than nice, as Roy pointed out. |

You know what? It really irks me when people who have no idea about the man start giving him a hard time. I have never known anybody who spent any time with him not to be absolutely knocked out by his utter charm and incredible generosity.
Even people who, through the years, saw themselves as his bitter enemy have changed completely once they finally "got it". Anyway, he doesn't need me to defend him. Here is an article (you'll see that I have a slight involvement in it) but the point is, this is only part of the story. Suffice it to say that he is in the process of auctioning off his stretch Jaguar to raise more funds for these kids... Enjoy: http://site.uri-geller.com/kenneth_kaunda_ Posted: Jul 21, 2009 6:24pm ----------------------------------- Oh, yes, and I'm off to Zambia next month to take all this stuff out there. Doing something positive instead of sniping from the sidelines? Yes, I think so, too. |

I think the thing with Uri is that he performs magic, pure sleight of hand, nothing more and nothing else. Which if he were to stick to just being that is fine. But when he crosses the line and starts to live the role 24/7, 365 there is going to be problems, especially if you're a mentalist. If you choose to do that then you had better be able to back up the claims and when exposed you take it like a man and drive on.
Peace

Of course, the real trick is to work out what that "something more" is! |
