I've heard and read about it here on the Café and now I can join the club.
I was performing the No Tear Newspaper and when I did the restoration, a bunch the pieces ended up on the floor. What can you say? First time that ever happened. At least I'm in good company here. When it happened I just cracked up and told them to watch for me on a new TV Show called: "When Magic Goes Bad", then moved on to the next trick.

That has not happened to me, thank goodness, however, I can understand how it could happen. I just use stronger m*****s to be on the safe side.

Yep. All you can do is laugh. It shows the audience that we're human. And let's face it, it's not a matter of national security when something like that happens.

Stronger somethings are a must for this. I have not had that happen except in practice so I changed my right away. I did however have the paper rip while doing the flash restore, my comment was. A little tear here and there but other then that good as new.
No one said it would be easy, or did they?

If you accidentally have the "somethings" on the wrong side, it can happen as well. Been there and done that on - dare I say it - more than one time!

I saw the potential for this problem when I got the No Terar version aand I made up a new version with stronger gimmicks.
Jack, things like that are going to happen to all of us sooner ar later, sounds like you covered it about as well as you could.

Well I did a minor accident at a show at once. I usually perform Gene Anderson tear and I hadnt done it a while so I forgot in which corners must be the folded corners are and restored the paper the wrong way. For luck I remembered it half way through the restoration and quickly turned the paper over. I was in luck that day nobody saw the mishap. Now I remember it my entire life and wont do the mistake again.

Fred, It's amazing that when accidents do happen, a lot of times the audience does realize it. Good catch on your part.

Johnny Thompson told me half the gags in his Great Tomsoni act came from 'accidents'.
