A while back Lance Burton did a trick on a TV special where he took a card, and rubbed it on someones hand and it changed. But then he did it without the persons hand there and it changed right in front of the TV in full veiw. Can someone please tell me what this trick is called and where I could buy it.
Thanks, Prescott

Sounds like a 2 card transposition to me. VERY VERY easy trick. That was one of the first one I learned. If you PM me I can help you if you wanna learn it.

I don't think you understand what trick Iam talking about. In this trick you could see the card visably change. He held it up and then did some circular motions and you could see it visualy change. What is this trick called and where can I get it.

ahhh that gives me a good idea I can do that easily as well lol. I can't believe I haven't thought of that before. I use the same sleight in some of my other tricks.

Sounds like a snap or flip change to me.

Hi,
I know what you are talking about, I put my hand over the card on the screen when he said so it worked how he wanted it to. I was recording the show so I was able to watch it again and I saw the card change. It didn't really change just some of the spots increased. I can't remember what the name of the trick is (I think it might have been "The Moving Pip Card"), I saw it advertised and it's a gimmick. I was going to buy it but my dealer only had it in jumbo cards. Take it easy, Johh. |

he probably did pirouette change... unless he used a gimmicked card, the only gimmick card i could think of is blink..

Now I remember! Yes, John is right, he used one of those gimmicked cards with moving pips. I use to have one.

I remember the trick and I am reasonably sure it was a moving pip gimmicked card.
Some pips slid across the card from another pip(s) to their correct position. Ray |

Why would you use a gimmicked card when you can just do an extremely easy slight to change it VISIBLY

I agree with you but this topic is regarding a gimmick that this paticular fellow is interested in.
Not a gimmicks verses sleight-of-hand topic. John. |

this gimmick Lance used is no longer around, it was in bicycle stock in jumbo or pokers sized...
I am sure there still around but not a bicycle version... as for why you wouldn't just use a simple sleight, well just picture the clubs on your card splitting like atoms and the 4s visually changing in to a 9... sure a quick change is amazing but... this is thought one of those effects where most people will say it must be a gimmick because it really truly is too impossible thanks |

Sorry,
I coulden't find one myself so I have no idea where you can get one. I personelly think Edward Marlo's "Snap Change" and Mark Desouza's "Shapeshifter" change are much better in so many ways. Maybe you could try these? John. |
