Pete:
Then again, as any reader well knows, (or Intelligent Redesigner?), if you begin working with one person someplace, in just a few moments, there will be a line of people waiting for their turn! Mentioning it in just that descriptive way is a great beginning of a sales pitch to your host/ hostess! I've offered to the hostess to 'do one or two and see how it goes,' knowing that there will be no way the people will let me quit once I've started. Also, sometimes people have known that I do readings of one sort or another, (handwriting when the 'psychic' doesn't fit), I have THEM ask their friend (the hostess) - if she'd mind. When the request comes from her guests, she's not likely to say no. Ways to apply a wee bit of pressure when you wish to do so. Be prepared to stay late if you start; people get a bit ill tempered if they've waited a while for you and then you leave before seeing them! Make some money! (But focus first on doing a good job and making them happy, focus on the money only second.) brane |

Hey Brane : Great words and fab advice. Its a very soft way of selling the idea I also like the fact that you get the guest to do the dirty work Very simple notion but something I didn't consider! Thanks very much for your thoughts on this thread, your advice and obvious experience is very appreciated, thank you
Rodger Your list is a good one..well maybe except Brendan Grace not my cup of tea Ah if we don't make world cup next year I'll cheer on the Three Lions in South Africa no doubt Anyways lads gig went great! She actually paid me extra. To be fair the crowd were fab and think anyone here would have done an equally good job I didn't end up do any readings but when a similiar gig comes up next time I'll be sure to use all the great advice within this thread Thanks very much lads, Pete |
